Velistsikhe Veranda ‘Rkatsiteli Qvevri’ Kakheti 2019

Winery: Velistsikhe Veranda is a project of the KTW group [Kakhetian Traditional Winemaking]; their aim is to preserve traditional winemaking methods in the Velistsikhe region, one of the oldest villages in Georgia. The farm they manage was a small family winery for many years, in addition to the winemaking, the group has also curated a collection of traditional viticulture tools for an integrated educational tourism experience.

Winemaking: Low intervention in the vineyard and cellar. Native yeast spontaneous fermentation in open top Qvevri with 6 months skin contact.

Tasting Notes: Apricot, mango, lemon, white pepper flanked with tangy acidity, green tea tannins. Grapefruit accents the nutty finish. Silky, with an edgy kick, a great value.

100% Rkatsiteli
12% Alcohol
