Estate: Passionately revitalizing indigenous varietals, Mario Lucchetti was one of the original Lacrima winemakers in the Lacrima di Morro d’Alba DOC of the Marche region. Beginning with just a few hectares, he has increased the organically farmed estate to 18 hectares. His son Paolo works by his side “to carry the family tradition into the next decades”.
Winemaking: Grapes are from vines 15-30 years old, clay soil at 180/220 meters [590/755 feet] in elevation. Fermented with native yeasts, aged in stainless steel tanks.
Tasting Notes: Blackberry, bramble, pomegranate, black pepper, trace of vanilla and wildflowers framed by silky black tea tannins and fresh acidity. Chocolate underscores the red currant and cherry finish. Well structured, friendly, cozy.
