Estate: Christina Netzl grew up working in the vineyards alongside her parents and grandparents in the heart of the Caruntum region, east of Vienna. Following studies in oenology and wine management, she began to passionately pursue the transition to organic viticulture at her family estate, beginning the process for certification in 2018. The ‘Christina’ line of wines is a reflection of her love for ancient winemaking methods.
Winemaking: Hand harvested, loess soils, destemmed, wild yeast spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel, malolactic fermentation in “old big oak vats, where the wine rests for another 4 months”, unfined, unfiltered.
Tasting Notes: Blueberry, blackberry, bramble, earth flanked by silky tannins and fresh acidity. Red currant, cherry, blackberry, trace of cinnamon saturate the tangy finish. Fruity, sleek, super versatile.
