Estate: Piemonte natives Massimo Marchiori and Antonella Gerona moved to Barcelona as architects, over time they moved to the Baix Penedés countryside, beginning a more organic, close to nature existence. Winemaking soon followed; the couple set about recovering abandoned, indigenous grape vineyards, revitalizing them using organic and biodynamic methods.
Winemaking: Clay and limestone soils, hand harvested, wild yeast spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel, second fermentation in bottle, with 10 months in the bottle on fine lees, unfined, unfiltered, no added SO2.
Tasting Notes: Wildflowers, melon, mandarin orange, bit of fried sage, good acidity backed by green tea tannins and consistent fizz. Citrus, saline minerality infuse the nutty finish. Well balanced, spry.
