Ceretto Barolo DOCG 2012

Estate: Absolutely dedicated to “wine, good food, history, tradition and culture”,
siblings Lisa, Roberta, Alessandro and Federico are the 3rd generation of the Ceretto family to make wine in the Langhe hills of Piemonte. Visiting their estate is an incredible adventure; from advocating Langhe culture and tradition, to championing “work by subtraction” in the vineyards and cellar, to promotion of the arts, to running a 3 star Michelin restaurant in Alba, the Ceretto family is an ideal reflection of the spirit of Renaissance. Head over to the Ceretto site for a comprehensive look at their history, winemaking philosophy and cultural involvement.

Tasting Notes: Cherry, strawberry, dried rose petal, licorice, black pepper, tarry earth minerality, fresh acidity underscored with robust tannins. Chestnut honey, orange peel, clove, black cherry, black pepper linger on the velvety finish. Classic, charismatic, sumptuous.
