Cantina Furlani ‘Altopiano Rosso’ Vino Rosso 2020

Estate: Matteo Furlani is the 4th generation of his family to farm tiny plots of vines 700+ meters in altitude, in the Dolomites of Trentino, northeastern Italy. The estate was always farmed organically, without any chemicals. Matteo has taken this natural approach further, adopting biodynamic and traditional methods.

Philosophy: “Grapes cultivated and vinified with passion, always respecting nature, environment and animals.”

Winemaking: Hand-harvested, destemmed, native yeast spontaneous fermentation in stainless steel, aged on the lees for a few months in the same tanks. Unfined, unfiltered, no added SO2.

Tasting Notes: Cherry, strawberry, melon flanked by bright acidity and light, silky tannins. Strawberry, raspberry, iron earth minerality linger between each sleek sip. Lustrous, precise, super gluggable.
