Winery: Using a combination of their surnames for the winery, husband and wife team Leila Grasselli and Dominic Würth settled in Alto Adige in 2013 after making wine Bordeaux, Montalcino and the Marche. They farm a few hectares of vineyards [certified organic]and also purchase grapes from small, nearby growers.
Winemaking: Grapes are from different vineyards with a mix of limestone and porphyry soils. Native yeast spontaneous fermentation with skin maceration for 3-7 weeks, depending on vintage. Aged in acacia barrels for 16 months, unfiltered, unfined.
Tasting Notes: Orange, peach, lemon thyme, apricot, wildflower honey framed by tangy acidity and jasmin green tea tannins. Peach, apricot, chamomile infuse the mineral finish. Creamy, luscious with a complex network of flavours.
