Estate: Il Farneto is a biodiverse farm of 34 hectares, 8 of which are vineyard, located in the hills of Scandiano and Canossa, in Emilia-Romagna. Founded by Marco Bertoni in the 1990’s, the estate is farmed using organic, biodynamic [certified] and low intervention methods.
Winemaking: Wild yeast spontaneous fermentation, second fermentation in the bottle started with juice of the same harvest in Spring, unfined, unfiltered.
Tasting Notes: Generous, rolling fizz buoys strawberry, cherry, orange zest, citrus acidity. Light tannins fuse with raspberry, strawberry on the mineral driven, fizzy finish. Vivid, bright, charismatic.
