Winery: Founded in 2013 by friends Emiliano Giorgio and Arcangelo Galuppi, Sete is both a winery and cultural project. Located in the Amaseno River valley of Lazio, in between Rome and Naples, in the small village of Priverno, the goal of Sete is to “save from oblivion old, abandoned vineyards and almost forgotten varieties”.
Winemaking: Organic, biodynamic and minimal intervention in the vineyards, each vineyard parcel is vinified separately. Southwest facing vines are 40 years old in clay/silt/limestone soils. White and red grapes macerated together for 7 days, aged 6 months in steel tank. Unfined, unfiltered, no Added SO2.
Tasting Notes: Tingly acidity spins around blood orange, all the cherries, thyme, salty minerality and green tea tannins. Black cherry, roasted hazelnut infuse the flinty mineral finish. Engaging, blazing, with a devil-may-care ethos.
