Estate: Il Farneto is a biodiverse farm of 34 hectares, 8 of which are vineyard, located in the hills of Scandiano and Canossa, in Emilia-Romagna. Founded by Marco Bertoni in the 1990’s, the estate is farmed using organic, biodynamic [certified] and low intervention methods.
Winemaking: Cold maceration on the bunch, wild yeast spontaneous fermentation with 3 days skin maceration in concrete tanks, second fermentation in the bottle in Spring started with juice of the same harvest, unfined, unfiltered.
Tasting Notes: Tangerine, lemon, pink grapefruit, mango, clean minerality, trace of wildflower honey glossed by bright acidity. Buoying fizz rolls thru to the snappy citrus finish. Frisky, bright, super gluggable.
