Quarticello ‘Le Boccette’ Spergola Emilia IGP 2019

Estate: Focusing on achieving a pure expression of the land, Roberto Maestri is dedicated to traditional and organic cultivation of indigenous Emilia grapes. His 8 hectare estate is located at the foot of the Tuscan-Emilian Apennines in Val d’Enza Reggio Emilia.

Winemaking: Vines are in clay/gravel soils, wild yeast spontaneous fermentation, second fermentation in the bottle, unfined, unfiltered.

Tasting Notes: Apple cider, pear, trace of nutmeg, wildflowers, eucalyptus buoyed by fine, consistent fizz and bright acidity. Almond and lemon infuse the crisp, steely mineral finish. Dazzling, engaging.
