Estate: Oreste Buzio, his wife Daniela along with sons Andrea and Marco, head the estate his grandfather Agostino founded in 1860. Located within the rolling hills of Monferrato Casalese in Piedmont, respect for the environment and organic farming has been passed down from father to son [the estate is certified organic]. The family focuses on indigenous grapes such as Barbera, Grignolino and Freisa; the wines are celebrated for their delicate, pure character.
Winemaking: South/south-east facing vines are in calcareous soils, aged for 6 months in stainless steel.
Tasting Notes: Pomegranate, hibiscus tea, wildflowers, roasted poblano are flanked by bright acidity and black tea tannins. Violet and cherry infuse the spicy finish. A sprightly, floral expression of Barbera.
