Estate: Régis Minet took over his grandfather’s eastern Loire estate in 1976. Over the years he increased the 3 hectares of vineyards to nearly 11 hectares. Dedicated to expressing the native terroir, he farms organically and with minimal intervention.
Winemaking: Vineyards are 25-30 years in age, with clay, marl and Kimmeridgian Limestone soils. Spontaneous fermentation with indigenous yeasts, aged on the fine lees in stainless steel for 6 months.
Tasting Notes: Pale gold in colour, with aromas of chalky minerality, lemon, granny smith apple, citrus blossom, trace of ozone. Keen acidity, lemon, ginger and green pear diffuse over a chalky mineral backbone. Grapefruit and lemon zest amplify the flinty mineral finish. Composed, elegant and sleek.
