Estate: The Almondo family has been farming in Montà, in the Cunea region of Piemonte since the 14th century. Domenico Almondo [along with his sons, Stefano and Federico] carries on the work his father Giovanni began, crafting Arneis wines that express the distinct character of the Roero.
Winemaking: Grapes are from 3 tiny parcels, with varying soils of sand/limestone/clay at 310-370 meters in elevation. Fermented in stainless steel tanks, aged on the lees for 5 months.
Tasting Notes: Pale gold in colour, with aromas of lemon, hazelnut and herbs.
Apple, pear, lemon zest, citrus blossom, and a light herbaceous streak shimmer atop crisp minerality and bright acidity. Clover honey, almond and lemon infuse the saline mineral finish. Sleek and crisp.
