Estate: Siblings Dino, Gianni and Diana Bertolino began reviving their family estate in 2000. Over the past 2 decades they have become renowned for their cru and old vines Barbera. The sustainably farmed vineyards are located in 5 different areas of Piemonte; Asti, Nizza, Monferrato, Gavi, and Alba. Each vineyard has differing soils and conditions and are planted accordingly with site specific grapes.
Winemaking: Vines are 65 years in age with sandy, white marl soils.
Tasting Notes: Transparent coral ruby in colour, with aromas of cherry pie filling, rose petal, soft spice and a trace of roasted herbs. Silky layers of cherry, strawberry, raspberry, rose petal, dash of cinnamon are flanked by firm tannins and fresh acidity. Cherry, black currant and a hint of eucalyptus linger on the spicy finish.
