Estate: The Brezza family has been making wine in Piemonte since 1885. The 31 hectare estate has 20 hectares of organically farmed vineyards in the Barolo commune.
Philosophy: “The best way to represent the uniqueness of our terroir in our wines is to stay in constant harmony with the land and its fruits.”
Winemaking: Vines were planted in 1991. Fermentation and maceration with the skins for 6 days, followed by Malolactic fermentation.
Tasting Notes: Transparent garnet in colour, with aromas of black cherry, plum, red currant, earth strawberry and sun warmed brick. Raspberry, cranberry, red currant, cherry, a trace of licorice and fresh acidity are framed by grippy tannins. Almond, cranberry and cherry pit linger on the refreshingly bitter finish. Rustic and lively.
