Estate: Brothers Daniel and Jonas Brand are the 5th generation of their family to craft wine in the northern Pfalz region of Germany. Their 18 hectares of vineyards are farmed using biodynamic, low intervention and organic [certified] methods. All of their labels are illustrations by their grandmother, Oma Helga.
Winemaking: Vines are 25-30 years old, in limestone, loam, loess soils. Fermented with wild yeasts in stainless steel, unfined, unfiltered.
Tasting Notes: Gold in colour, with aromas of lemon, apple, herbs, warm bricks, hay, citrus blossom and crushed rock minerality. Creamy yellow apple, lemon, trace of honey and a delicate herbaceous vein are glossed by citrus acidity. Lemon, chamomile, citrus zest shimmer on the crisp, mineral driven finish. Fun and bright.
