Estate: Agnanum is located on a hill within a crater of the extinct Agnano volcano in Campi Flegrei, Campania. Rafaelle Moccio farms his 10 hectares of old, ungrafted vines using organic methods and minimal intervention.
Winemaking: Vines are 10-60 years old, in volcanic ash and sand soil with sandy basalt subsoil, at 150-200 meters in elevation. Spontaneous fermentation with native yeast in stainless steel, aged in stainless steel.
Tasting Notes: Rich gold in colour, with aromas of apple, lemon, smoky earth and white flowers. Lemon, yellow apple and smoky earth are glossed by fresh acidity. Grapefruit, lemon zest and thyme linger between each vibrant sip.
