Estate: Located near the dormant volcano dome of Puy de Dôme, in Volvic, central France, Vincent Marie passionately cultivates 5 hectares of vines with biodynamic, organic and low intervention principles. The diverse terroir from the ancient volcano allows him to craft 5-7 cuvées from his small estate. His wines are renown for their purity and eloquence.
Winemaking: Vines are 15 years old, at 420 meters in elevation, with feldspar, sandy soils. “Direct pressing, racking, fermentation and aging in stainless steel tanks. “Aged for 6 months in stainless steel tanks, unfiltered, no added sulphite. ‘Les Crosses’ is the original name of the vineyard parcel.
Tasting Notes: Hazy light gold in colour, very aromatic with lime, lemon, candied ginger, hay orange zest, crushed rock minerality and mustard seed. Lemon drop, green apple and herbs are glossed by tangy acidity. Grapefruit, lemon and a trace of bread crust linger on the snappy finish. Crisp, refreshing and lively.
