Estate: Il Farneto is a biodiverse farm of 34 hectares, 8 of which are vineyard, located in the hills of Scandiano and Canossa, in Emilia-Romagna. Founded by Marco Bertoni in the 1990’s, the estate is farmed using organic, biodynamic [certified] and low intervention methods.
Tasting Notes: Garnet in colour with aromas of wild berries, bramble and Brothers Johnson funk. Cherry, raspberry, strawberry, plum, earth, spice along with a meaty vein are underscored by grippy tannins and fresh acidity. Eucalyptus and black currant linger on the spicy finish. Rich, rustic and fun.
