Estate: Iconic, legendary, 5th generation winemaker Giuseppe “Beppo” Rinaldi was renowned for his strict adherence to traditional methods and crafting some of the greatest Barolo. Uncompromising and nicknamed “Citrico” [citric] for his pointed, harsh comments, he was one of the most respected winemakers in Piemonte. His daughters Carlotta and Marta had been working alongside him, today they head the renowned estate. The 6 hectares of organically farmed vineyards are spread across of the most famous crus of Barolo: Cannubi, Brunate, Le Coste, and Ravera. In addition to Nebbiolo, other indigenous Piemonte varietals are grown; Barbera, Dolcetto, Ruchè and Freisa.
Winemaking: Fermented with indigenous yeasts, unfiltered.
Tasting Notes: Bright garnet in colour, with aromas of raspberry, cherry, wildflowers and earthy minerality. Juicy red fruits with a sprig of bramble are framed by snappy acidity and grippy, supple tannins. Black cherry and dark earth minerals linger on the fruity finish. Elegant, lithe and captivating.
