Estate: Located in the Langhe hills, in the heart of Barbaresco, Natale Baricchi farms the nearly 6 hectares founded by his father in 1968. “Eccentric, organic and natural to an obsession in the vineyard”, he breaks the tradition of the area with his passionately crafted, unique, sparkling wines. Winemaking: Spontaneous fermentation with natural yeasts in the tank and bottle. 2600 bottles produced.
Tasting Notes: Gold in color, with aromas of fresh herbs, mandarin orange and stone fruits. Small consistent fizz whirls around pear, orange, cinnamon, lemon, orange rind and green pepper. Snappy acidity fuses with gooseberry and stone fruits on the finish. Easy drinking and imaginative.
Pairing Suggestions from the Winemaker: “Blends happily with fried fish, sea and lake, vegetables in tempura and, to the delight of the producer, good Neapolitan pizza.”
