Estate: The Lini estate was founded in 1910 by Oreste Lini, in Correggio, the heart of Emlia, in northern Italy. The estate has received many accolades for applying Metodo Classico [or Traditional Method] to its Lambrusco. Today the 4th generation, Fabio Lini, along with his sister Anita Lini, and brother Massimo Lini, head the estate. Farming organically, Fabio’s wines are renowned for their freshness and minerality.
Philosophy: Crafting wines that are “inextricably linked to the land of Lambrusco”.
Winemaking: Produced using the Charmat [or tank] method. ‘Labrusca’ is the ancient Roman name for the family of Lambrusco grape varieties.
Tasting Notes: Bright ruby red in colour, with aromas of cherry, candied violet and watermelon. Juicy cranberry, red currant, strawberry, cherry, melon and herbs with a squeeze of citrus glide atop consistent fizz. Clean minerality and bright acidity sparkle, whilst a savoury edge compliments the caramel apple finish. So fruity, so refreshing, a fizzy summer essential.
