Estate: Agostino Pavia founded the small family estate in the 1950’s, today his sons Giuseppe and Mauro work alongside him. The 10 hectares are sustainably farmed, with “common sense” practices such as the use of cover crops between the vines. The estate is renowned for its distinctive Barbera wines.
Philosophy: “Great wine is made in the vineyard.”
Winemaking: Grapes are hand harvested from hilly vineyards with sandy and clay soil in the village of Agliano Terme, in the Asti region of Piemonte. Fermented in stainless steel, aged in stainless steel for 6 months.
Tasting Notes: Transparent light ruby red with orange highlights in colour, with aromas of strawberry, watermelon, herbs, soft floral and a trace of spice. Floral and herbs accent cherry, strawberry and pomegranate complimented by fresh acidity and dry tannins. Red fruit and light spice linger on the refreshing, super dry finish.
Pairing Suggestions from the Winery: The perfect partner for starters and light dishes.
