Estate: Cantina del Glicine was established by Adriana Marzi and Roberto Bruno in 1980, although the winery’s cellar dates back to 1582. Located in Neive, in Piemonte, northwestern Italy, the estate takes its name from the wisteria flower [glicine in Italian] that grows throughout the property.
Winemaking: Vineyards are farmed using organic methods. Grapes are sourced from different cru vineyards in Neive. Aged in Slavonian oak casks.
Tasting Notes: Dark garnet in colour with aromas of baked cherry, strawberry, plum, raisin, soft spice, woods, earth and rose petal. Blackberry, cherry, eucalyptus, black cherry, red currant, tarry earth, black pepper and a hint of nutmeg are supported by silky tannins and fresh acidity. Fruit, spice and clove infuse the lengthy finish. Well balanced, with a refined character, a lovely companion at the table or on its own.
