Estate: With the belief that “wine should be made in the vineyard in a natural, healthy way” Marita and Guglielmo Manenti founded their winery in 2006. The 4 hectares of vineyards are located in southeastern Sicily, in the historical district of Vittoria, in the Ragusa region.
Winemaking: Farming is low intervention and organic. Soils are iron rich, calcareous clay. Vines are 20-40 years in age.
Tasting Notes: Transparent red-violet in colour with aromas of cherry, blackberry, wildflowers and baking spices. Black cherry, raspberry, blackberry and white pepper are wrapped in fresh acidity and silky tannins. Clove, a streak of earthy minerality and a bit of dried strawberry linger on the dry fruity finish. Friendly and super versatile at the table.
