Estate: Located in the in the middle of the World Heritage Site in Seewinkel, on the eastern side of Lake Neusidl in Burgenland, eastern Austria, Anneliese and Werner Michlit live in harmony with nature, agriculture and viticulture. The estate is “a fully self-sustaining family farm and eco-community”. In addition to grapes, the family farm produces apples, sunflowers, heirloom varieties of wheat, a prized herd of Angus cattle and a colony of bees. The land is farmed organically and biodynamically, the vineyards are surrounded by natural ponds and wild herb and grasses. The cellar sees very little intervention; wild yeasts are used for fermentation, nothing is added during the winemaking process.

Tasting Notes: Light ruby red in colour with aromas of strawberry, cherry and clean minerals. An herbaceous streak runs thru bright strawberry, cherry, raspberry, red currant fresh acidity and light airy bubbles. The finish is clean and mineral driven. Refreshing and bright, and engaging fizzy Rosé fantastic on its own or with a wide variety of dishes [think cheese, barbeque and pasta.]
