Estate: Gunther & Klaus are the 5th generation of the Di Giovanna family to craft wine in western Sicily. One of the oldest viticulturalist families in Sicily, the Di Giovanna estate consist of 100 hectares; 56 hectares are vineyards, 13 hectares are given to olive trees, forest and wheat fields. The vineyards are spread across the 2 tiny DOC’s of Contessa Entellina and Sambuca di Sicilia, located in the heart of the Terre Siciliane region. The brothers focus on indigenous varietals such as Grillo, Nero d’Avola and Nerello Mascalese.

Winemaking: The estate has been certified organic since 1997. Grapes for the rosato are from a single vineyard located in a nature reserve, below forested mountains at an elevation of 730-820 meters. The wine was packaged directly from the tank.
Tasting Notes: Coral pink in colour with aromas of strawberry, cherry, watermelon, candied violet, along with a bit of mint and thyme. Strawberry, watermelon and cherry are highlighted by clean minerality and fresh acidity. Finishing with a savoury streak over fruit on the crisp, dry finish. Fresh and gluggable, a spectacular value!
