Estate: For generations, the Croci family has been making wine in the Piacenza hills of Emilia Romagna, northern Italy. Today, Massimiliano Croci heads the 10 hectare estate that was founded in 1935 by his grandfather, Giuseppe Croci. He passionately continues the family’s tradition of making expressive, unique wines using natural, organic and biodynamic methods.
Philosophy: Passion and respect for the land and wine, producing genuine wines that reflect the character of the Piacenza hills.
Winemaking: Grapes are from vineyards in clay and sandy soil. Made with the ancestral method; naturally fermented and aged on its lees.
Tasting Notes: Deep gold in colour with aromas of lemon, honey, grilled herbs, smoky earth and a trace of bitter nuts. Light fizzy bubbles meander thru fresh lemon tart and Mediterranean herbs. Citrus and smoky minerals linger on the zippy finish. Lovely on its own, or with a wide variety of dishes, especially spicy ones.

Mostly Malvasia di Candia, with Trebbiano, Ortrugo, Sauvignon & Marsanne
