Estate: Located in Lugana, just south of Lake Garda in northern Italy, the Olivini estate is headed by siblings Giorgio, Giordana and Giovanni. They inherited their passion for the land and winemaking from their grandparents.
Philosophy: “Absolute respect for the inherent characteristics of the grapes, choosing the most appropriate methods of vinification with preparation of detailed plans for every single vine.”
* Chiaretto is the regional name for rosato wines in Lugana. The name translates to “little light one” and refers “to the pleasing color and lighter body” of the wines.
Tasting Notes: Pink-coral in colour with abundant aromas of candied rose, cherry, honeysuckle and hints of mint. Cherry, strawberry and candied flowers harmonize with minerals and savory rosemary on the dry finish. A spectacular balance between sweet fruit flavours and bright acidity, so lively and engaging each glass will empty rather swiftly.
Pairing Suggestions from the Winery: Cold antipasti or creamy cheeses.
