Estate: Allan Jackson and Don Triggs founded Jackson Triggs in 1993. The estate consists of 11.5 acres in the Niagara Peninsula region of Ontario, Canada, along with 410 acres of vineyards in the Okanagan Valley in British Columbia. In such a short amount of time it has become known today as “Canada’s most awarded winery”. Behemoth wine producer Constellation Brands purchased it in 2006.
Winemaking: “Reserve Series celebrates the depth and diversity of our winemakers’ experience in crafting wines that embody the Niagara terroir.” Aged in French and American oak for 8 months.
Tasting Notes: Dark garnet in colour with vivid aromas of cherry, strawberry, green pepper, along with floral and mineral hints. Silky smooth with black cherry and chocolate notes running atop an undercurrent of granite minerality. Fresh and spicy jalapeno notes comprise the clean finish. Easy drinking on its own and fantastic with simple dishes.
