Estate: The Ruffino estate was founded in 1877 by cousins and Tuscan natives Illario and Leopoldo Ruffino with a dream to make well-known wines in the heart of Tuscany. Generations later the estate has established itself as a leader in Chianti, creating modern wines for “the contemporary lifestyle” by using a blend of century-long tradition and current technology. They are “renowned for consistency and quality” and craft all of their wines to be enjoyed with food.
Winemaking: “Briefly” aged in stainless steel vats.
Tasting Notes: Pale gold in colour with aromas of pear and honeysuckle. Simple, light flavours of apple, honeysuckle and lemon culminate in a dry mineral finish. The bright acidity and unobtrusive character make this a good choice for glugging alongside light dishes and snacks.
Blend of Grechetto, Procanico, Verdello, and Canaiolo Blanco that can vary in percentage each vintage.
