Estate: Château Puech-Haut is located just outside the village of Saint-Drezery in the Languedoc region of southern France. Owned by Gérard Bru, the estate is considered to be “one of the top estates in the Languedoc”. Bru purchased the property for sentimental reasons and to fulfill his lifelong ambition of crafting great wines. He created all of the vineyards on the estate, and over time increased the property holdings to 165 hectares. The rams heads depicted on the bottle are in reference to two stone ram heads that were found in the 12th century chapel on the estate, they represent “a marriage of power and sweetness” along with “endurance and endearing charm”.
Tasting Notes: Palest coral in colour with aromas of strawberry, citrus zest and crushed stones. Raspberry and tart lingonberry notes lead towards grapefruit zest and lingering honey elements on the dry finish. An undercurrent of rain-washed minerals retains a light, refreshing demeanor.
