Château Minuty ‘M’ Côtes de Provence Rosé 2014

A refreshing Rosé from St. Tropez, simple and refined with some jump to it.

Brand: The ‘M’ range is an “easily enjoyable” label of Château Minuty, located on the St. Tropez peninsula; the estate was built by Napoleon. In 1955 Château Minuty became one of 23 estates to be awarded a classed growth of the Côtes de Provence. The estate is headed by Jean-Etienne and François Matton, their grandfathers took over the estate in 1936; the Matton-Farnet family has a winemaking history that extends back nearly 300 years in France. Jean-Etienne and François have restructured the vineyards, updated the winery and taken the estate in “a more international direction”.

Philosophy: The ‘M’ range is crafted to be a “combination of fresh, upfront natural fruit and intense flavours”.

Winemaking: Grapes were sourced from “the best soils of Côtes de Provence”. Vineyards are farmed using integrated methods, a sustainable, environmentally friendly practice where chemicals are not used.

Tasting Notes: Pale coral in colour with clean aromas of grapefruit zest and white pepper. Pink grapefruit and peach flavours are accented by elderflower notes and a lively acidity, the finish races along with zippy minerals and hints of white pepper.
