Toad Hollow ‘Eye of the Toad’ Dry Rosé of Pinot Noir 2014

Estate: Friends Robert Todd Williams and Sonoma County winemaking pioneer, Rodney Strong, founded toad Hollow Vineyards in 1993. Todd established the 35 acre vineyard based on the belief that “wine should be part of people’s everyday lives”. Maintaining that most people were intimidated by wine, he set about stripping away the “mystique” and producing fine wines at affordable prices. Today his wife Francine continues on with Todd’s dream of making wine fun with a motto of “Fine Wines at Reasonable Prices”.

Philosophy: “To produce quality wines that are interesting at a reasonable price. Our labels are whimsical, supporting another element of our philosophy – we believe drinking wine should be FUN!”

Tasting Notes: Cherry red in colour with the aroma of summer strawberries. Strawberry, watermelon and hints of tart cherry were dusted with traces of crushed white peppercorn. Good acidity and a super dry, clean finish make this quite versatile for warm weather sipping and summer dishes.
