Tierra Divina Vineyards Reds 2012

Fun and easy drinking, with a bold spicy core, a fantastic value red blend to pair with a wide variety of dishes.

Winery: Tierra Divina Vineyards are owned by Patrick Campbell, a winemaker of 34 years and the first North American producer of Malbec in Mendoza. Tierra Divina Vineyards focus is on “Heritage Vineyards” from Lodi, California and also Argentina; old vine vineyards cultivated by “the hands of the same family for three generations or more. Heritage vineyards are not good because they are old, rather they are old because they are good.”

Winemaking: The Carignane grapes were sourced from 135 year old vines in central Lodi.

Tasting Notes: Garnet in colour with aromas of cherry, earth and smoky herbs. Black cherry and blackberry flavours were supported by an earthy backbone, whilst crushed black peppercorn, licorice and a smoky sweetness infused the spicy finish.

40% Carignane, 30% Zinfandel, 30% Petite Sirah
Vinted & Bottled by Tierra Divina Vineyards
14.5% Alcohol

  1. It’s funny how Carignan got an extra e in California! :o)

  2. ha! I’ll have to look into it and see if it’s an American spelling, or limited to just California.
