A friendly, crowd-pleasing red blend from California with an easy going balance of ripe fruit, subtle earth and spice notes.
Winery: Purple Cowboy was established by Terry Wheatley in order to “create her own wine company where she could work with friends in the wine industry to create delicious, affordable wines with stories that come from life experiences”. Her previous 17 year experience in the wine industry includes time with E&J Gallo and Trinchero Family Estates. Both her husband and son are professional rodeo cowboys.
Winemaking: Grapes were sourced from the eastern half of the Paso Robles appellation.
Tasting Notes: Bright garnet in colour with aromas of raspberry jam, honey and summer woods. Red currant, black cherry and an earthy hint of olive comprised the full body, whilst spicy crushed white peppercorn and sweet vanilla lingered pleasingly between each sip.
