Jean-Luc Colombo ‘Cape Bleue’ Rosé 2013

A delicate and elegant Rosé with a zippy finish, a fantastic companion with light dishes or sipping on its own.

Estate: Jean-Luc Colombo has been “hailed as the winemaking wizard of the Rhône”, and is internationally renowned for crafting innovative, character driven, memorable wines.

Philosophy: Working closely with his wife and daughter, he is driven by the philosophy that creating quality wine is dependent on three fundamental elements; “terroir, human endeavor and modern winemaking techniques”.

Winemaking: The grapes were sourced from hillside vineyards in the “Blue Cape” in Provence overlooking the bay of Marseille, an area made famous by the paintings of Cezanne.

Tasting Notes: Coral pink in colour, with aromas of peach, chalky minerals and slight nuances of banana. Delicate strawberry and raspberry notes gave way to hints of citrus zest and clean minerals in the crisp, dry finish.
