Eric Dubourg, who comes from a winemaking family in Bordeaux, founded Wineberry in 2001. A boutique importer and distributer, they source their wines from leading estates and artisanal producers. By developing sustainable, innovative packaging, they are able to reduce the carbon footprint and provide high quality wines at affordable prices.
Philosophy: “Fine wines don’t have to be overpriced, nor industrial. We believe in traditional wine growers, dedicated to their appellation and origin.”
Estate: A small family estate belonging to the Audouin family since 1964, today the estate consists of 38 hectares of vineyards across the appellations of Bordeaux Supérieur and Côtes de Bordeaux.
Winemaking: Sustainable farming is practiced, this cuvee was vinified in concrete vats and aged in oak barrels for one year.
Tasting Notes: Red-violet in colour with aromas of blackberry, cigar box spice and floral hints. Fresh black currant, blackberry, cherry and herbaceous traces were complemented by a dry, spicy finish of licorice, smoky vanilla, and toasted oak.
