Estate: Cave du Marmandais is a cooperative winery located in southwest France along the banks of the Garonne River, a few miles from the city of Marmande. The winegrowing members are proud of their varied culture, such as a passion for rugby and gastronomy, and work together to advance and safeguard their team goals.
Mission: The coop “considers as its responsibility to ensure a sustainable economical and social environment for the future generations”, and to focus on the “essential bearings such as human values, authenticity and terroir identity”.
Winemaking: Sustainable viticulture is practiced, 50 hectares are certified organic.
Tasting Notes: Dark red-violet in colour with aromas of wild berries, black pepper and sun warmed brick. Blackberry, plum and sour cherry flavours joined subtle earth and oak, whilst traces of raisin complemented the dry finish.
