Château La Baronne Coste-Lise Corbieres 2011

Wonderfully rustic and well balanced, this is an easy drinking glass fantastic for sipping on its own or with a wide variety of dishes.

Estate: The Lignères family connection goes back to the 16th century, their first estate was La Maison de Vins established by Louis Lignères in 1890, André and Suzette Lignères bought the family’s current estate, lL Baronne in 1957.

Mission: “To translate this passion and respect for the land, reflected in our organic farming methods, showcasing the terroir of this priviledged corner of Languedoc – Roussillon”.

Winemaking: Organic viticulture, only indigenous yeasts used.

Tasting Notes: Dark red-violet in colour with woodsy, brambly wild berry aromas. Blackberry, cherry and tart red currant flavours were supported by savoruy herbs and earth elements, whilst traces of smoky ceder and spicy pink peppercorn comprised the plush finish.
