Louis Latour Domaine de Valmoissine Pinot Noir 2011

The family run company of Maison Louis Latour is one of the most respected négociant-éleveurs in the world, and is renowned for their high quality red and white wines. Not just wine merchants, the Latour family have been viticulturists since the 17th century; they founded Maison de Négoce in 1797. The company has been passed down from father to son for over 10 generations and still remains family owned and run. Domaine de Valmoissine is a Maison Louis Latour property located on the site of the ancient monastery in the Côteaux de Verdon region 70 miles north of Saint Tropez.

Brilliant ruby-red in colour with aromas of cherry, earth and green olive. Cherry and strawberry flavours harmonized with damp earth notes and a bright acidity, whilst white peppercorn and hints of bitter chocolate comprised the moderate finish. Well balanced and easy drinking, this is a fantastic glass at the table.
