The Candela family has a winemaking history that dates back to 1925 when Pedro Candela Soriano founded a small winery in the Yecla region of southeast Spain. Today Señorio de Barahonda is the oldest winery in the Yecla region, and the family group encompasses the Candela family estates along with Viña de Aliagar estates. Barrica is sourced from organically farmed estate vineyards with vines over 60 years old.

Dark garnet in colour with aromas of cherry, spicy black peppercorn and oak. Plush flavours of black currant and cherry evolved into licorice, black peppercorn and toasted oak notes in the lengthy finish. A fantastic synthesis of fruit and spice, this is a focused glass wonderful with a wide variety of dishes.
