Armeli Chianti Riserva 2009

Snapseed

A mysterious Chianti that I was unable to locate any information regarding the winery or production of other than what was stated on the label, and that the trademark for ‘Armeli Family Vineyards’ was filed for in 2012. [From the label “Grand Pa Fernando Armeli gave life to a reputable four generations family winemaking tradition. His love for our territory and uncontaminated environment became a never-ending mission that we intend to hand down as time goes by.”]

Dark garnet in colour with aromas of cherry, leather and vanilla. Corresponding flavours of cherry, leather and toasted oak joined smooth, dry tannins, white peppercorn and hints of baker’s chocolate in the lengthy finish. Simple yet elegant, this is a fantastic glass with a wide variety of dishes, especially roasted veggies, red sauces and pasta.
