The Lavergne family has been involved in varied capacities in the Bordeaux region for many generations. Today they own 84 hectares located in the villages of Sauveterre-de-Guyenne, Saint Sulpice, Saint Léger and Saint Martin du Puy. Along with his son Fabien, Bernard Lavergne has reinvigorated and improved the quality of the wines of Château du Plantier, the 2010 vintage was awarded the Concours de Bordeaux Vins d’Aquitaine Silver Medal.
Red-violet in colour with aromas of blackberry, vanilla and spicy cedar. Cherry, blackberry flavours joined traces of sour cherry, cinnamon and soft tannins in the medium body, whilst white peppercorn, vanilla and toasty oak comprised the moderate finish. Easy drinking and a great value, this is a good companion for everyday dishes.
