The Rosso Piceno DOC is the largest production zone in the Marche region of central Italy. Sangiovese and Montepulciano are the predominant grapes used for the wine, other varietals such as Trebbiano and Passerina can comprise up to 15% of the blend. The style and blend varies widely according to each producer, but they tend to always be a fantastic value. Le Marche is a region to watch as it is on the rise and beginning to see consistent critical praise.

Dark garnet in colour with rustic aromas of cherry and earth. Fruity cherry, red currant and pomegranate joined dry tannins, an earthy minerality and licorice notes in the savoury finish. Straightforward and unassuming, this is a fantastic accompaniment to a wide variety of dishes.
