Château La Coudraie is located in the eastern Entre-Deux-Mers region of Bordeaux and has been owned by the Jolivet family for 4 generations. Today Jean-Marc and Catherine Jolivet head the 63 hectare estate, personally managing every aspect of wine production. In addition to modernizing and expanding their facilities, they remain dedicated to crafting quality, artisanal wines rather then “selling maximum quantities at a low price”. They use only organic fertilizers and employ other natural methods such as grass cover between rows and increasing foliage and density to encourage higher grape concentration. This Bordeaux is part of the Daniel Johnnes portfolio of wines. Daniel is the Wine Director for the internationally located Daniel Boulud restaurants and imports a selection of wines from Bordeaux.
Dark garnet in colour with aromas of cherry, anise and earth. Green tea tannins supported cherry, plum and earth elements, whilst spicy black pepper and hints of sweet raisin comprised the moderate finish. Simple and easy drinking, this is a great companion to a wide variety of dishes.
