Another lovely yet unseasonably warm late afternoon found me fancying a crisp and fruity Rosé so I gave a pour to L’Opale De La Presqu’île De Saint-Tropez Rosé 2012. Les Vins Bréban has been producing, bottling and distributing wines on behalf of local grape growers since 1952. Today they are headed by 3rd generation producer Jean Jacques Bréban and the company distributes more than 50 wines from the Provence region. Jean Jacques believes in working closely with each grower in order to preserve the individuality of each estate whilst “remaining true to the spirit of Provence”.
Orange-pink in colour with aromas of watermelon, strawberry, and wet river stones. A dry, crisp mineral finish complimented sweet, summery flavours of melon, strawberry and honeysuckle. Refreshing and easy drinking, this is a fantastic glass for patio sipping, or a fresh companion to simple dishes.
