Chateau St. Michelle Riesling 2009

I was prompted to grab a chilled bottle of white from the fridge since we had a bizarre patch of 80 degree weather in October.  I’ve enjoyed other bottles from this Washington State winery, so at some point a few months back I had picked up the Riesling. The golden colour in the glass was very elegant; the apple cider smell emanating was heavy in contrast. There was a sweet apple taste that promised more than the short honey finish that followed. Regrettably the walloping acidity dominated the fun, light apple and honey flavours.
